K80201A putto or Cupid holding an arrow in his right hand and holding the left index to his lips. Within a highly decorative frame surmounted by a flame. At the bottom are Hymen and Cupid attributes the lit torch and the quiver. As the design is punched throughout it is likely it was used for an applique or for decorating a majolica plate possibly for a marriage given its iconography. Interestingly the design was folded in two as the right section was reputed more suitable to be copied and actually it is the most decorated half.NL Een putto of Cupido met een pijl in zijn rechterhand en de linker wijsvinger naar zijn lippen. Drawing on paper pen and brown ink washed in gray; total: ca. 200 x 103 mm; some staining traces of handling; overall in very good condition. Mounted on cardboard passepartout. unknown
