Portraits are mostly of young men and young women with a few older adults & children; one cdv of a group of men in a horse-drawn cart accompanied by a young man on bicycle. One cdv with hand coloring. The cabinet cards average approx. 4 1/4" x 6 1/2" overall size. Cartes about 2 1/2" x 4" with several longer examples. A few of the cdv's with a name identified: Balke Virujinski Bergmann Fuhrmann; most of the photos are not identified. Several with edge tips wear soiling chipping to the mounts; a few corners clipped or chipped; others very clean and with clear images. A couple with the image faded and with some spotting. Photographs all contained within a red-velvet covered album of the period with gilt decorations and metal clasps broken; one gilt corner mount unpinned; lacking the central ornament; binding worn leaves loose within. Several of the images are loosely laid-in; many of the mounting 'windows' torn. The group of photographs are in very good condition overall; the binding is in fair to good condition.
