Expenses include portage pilotage boarding officer's fee and goods purchased for crew - sugar coffee bread black beans and vegetables. Maxwell Wright & Co. was the owner/shipping company that oversaw the operation in Rio while N. & W. W. Billings is listed as the Managing owner or agent in Connecticut according to the Report of Commissioner of Fish and Fisheries. Text inked and elegantly penned.
