Twenty-seven newspaper editors in Illinois were asked to assist in getting together information that provided descriptions of points of interest photographs and exact locations in the state. This booklet was the result of their efforts and it became the first guide book of tourists and vacationers to Illinois. All counties are discussed along with points of interest hotels camping information facts about their areas etc. Through photographs many interesting scenes homes historic sites prominent hotels etc. are shown. There is a section along with a photograph of each of prominent citizens of the state. The large folding map in the rear pocket is in fine condition and points out towns cities villages highways etc. of Illinois. In good condition. White wrinkle lines coming from edges a few which have cracked. Tear at bottom left and bottom right corners. Minor wrippling. Date pad only contains December the rest have been removed. Metal hanger at top and bottom. Shows a lovely view of Toronto from Coopers Wharf which was finished in 1817. Painted with soft pinks and blue which set the city in a very romantic light. The Canadian Bank of Commerce merged with the Imperial Bank of Canada in 1961 to form the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce CIBC 1933 unknown

While the catalogue does not hint at the many other household products produced by the manufacturer one sentence draws the eye. A remarkable artifact of the by-gone days when Manitoba served as one of the gateways to the West. Exceedingly rare in commerce.
