Originally mailed to a lady in Bromley Kent with her address details in ink twice on the front cover. A very fragile production this is copy is complete but worn in places with leaves toned throughout. The front cover has a superb advertisement: "Come to Hong Kong Kong/ The Riviera of the Orient/ Where the Winter is the Best in the World from October till April/ Unrivalled scenery." There is a panoramic view of Hong Kong island with the Peak behind and with a Chinese "junk" in the foreground. The rear cover is an advertisement from the Hongkong & Shanghai Hotels Ltd for their 3 hotels in Hong Kong: The Peninsula .commanding a world famous day and night view of the harbour and fantastic skyline of Hong Kong. Repulse Bay Hotel .the newest contender for the title of the most beautifully situated hotel in the world. and Hong Kong Hotel .the colony's indisputable social centre situated in the heart of the business and theatre district. Tea and and Dinner dances every day. A remarkable survival. unknown

Fully illustrated in black and white and half-tone illustrations of interior rooms fixtures doorways etc. The text outlines what lighting is needed for which tasks and rooms. The first page outlines a contest for children to study the book investigate their home and lighting cut pictures out of the fixtures and place them in the rooms illustrated in the catalog. Additionally write an essay of no more than 600 words. This copy is very good with just a couple of creases to the front cover. nothing has been cut out! and is clean and unmarked.</p> Lighting Educational Committee

The theme being that you won't really know Alaska until you know the interior. Beginning with an overview of Fairbanks and activities and lodgings for tourists including an overview of the Richardson Trail The Alaskan Railroad Air service or travel by Steamboat. Of course Mt. McKinley National Park is featured.<br /> <br /> The campaign continues with lures of fishing and hunting. Then to the natural resources: Coal Gold Agriculture Fur Farming. Overlapping colour-pictorial gate-fold card covers with panoramas of 'Early Adelaide' and 'Modern Adelaide' front and rear and with line illustrations of the site of the cafe then-and-now inside the respective covers; covers lightly rubbed and bumped at the extremities with surface loss to a tiny area of the front cover; bottom half of the front gate-fold hinge split but now expertly sealed; an excellent copy of a lavish brochure. 'The Ellis Cafe organisation was formed about 1917 as bakers pastry cooks caterers fruiterers and confectioners. The office and factory was at 120 Gouger Street Adelaide with a restaurant Covent Gardens at 50 later 68 King William Street the Arcadia Cafe in Bowman's Buildings King William Street the Maple Leaf Cafe at 21 Rundle Street and two others in the central business district. The Ellis Cafes ceased trading in 1952' State Library of South Australia B 72464/5. This attractive souvenir was prepared to celebrate the reopening of the cafe in late 1924 after extensive renovations. An article in the Adelaide 'News' on Saturday 20 December 1924 notes that the 'booklet is a triumph for its compilers and its illustrator Mr E. Grant Walsh who also designed the general scheme of furnishings and decorations'. Ellis Limited paperback
