Manifesto per pubblicizzare la rappresentazione del noto circo “Gran Circolo Olimpico” bolognese che si esibiva nell’Arena del Sole di Bologna. La famiglia Guillaume diresse a lungo gli spettacoli circensi che si tennero all’Arena del Sole (e poi anche in altri teatri) a Bologna. La compagnia circense “Guillaume” venne fondata a Francesco Luigi che scappato dalla Francia durante i turbolenti anni della rivoluzione francese si fermò prima a Nizza e poi entrò nel territorio della penisola. Entrato in Italia acquistò il Circo Pellé econ esso girò per qualche anno l’intera Europa. Ritornato in Italia fondò il “Grande Circo Equestre Guillaume”. Gli spettacoli di questa nota compagnia vennero notevolmente apprezzati dal pubblico e dai regnanti europei fra i quali il principe Eugenio di Beauharnais, il re Gioacchino Murat e la regina Carolina di Napoli. Una parte della famiglia continuò l’attività circense a Brescia dove si era stabilito Luigi, una volta rientrato in Italia, mentre un’altra parte dei suoi discendenti fecero di Bologna la loro base operativo dove, dalla prima metà dell’ottocento, organizzavano i loro spettacoli, in particolare, presso l’Arena del Sole. Oltre gli spettacoli riportati nel titolo furono rappresentati: I Giuochi Romani, Eseguiti per la prima volta sopra diversi Cavalli a dorso nudo dal Direttore Giovanni Guillaume; La Giardiniera, Rappresentata per la prima volta da Madama Giuditta Guillaume sul Cavallo a Gran Carriera.; Agiranno Due Cavalli Ammaestrati, Jenny Cavalla ammaestrata alla parola, e Coccò – Cavallo Cacciatore, e apportatore; Le posizioni Accademiche delle Sciarpe, Eseguite dall’applaudita Damigella Maddalena Guillaume sul Cavllo a dorso nudo.; I Due Ercoli ovvero Straordinarj Esercizj di Forza, Eseguiti sopra due Cavalli a dorso nudo dal Giovinetto Emilio Guillaume, e dal Moreto Pietro Milker.; Si darà termine con una Giocosa Pantomima eseguita in maneggio, col titolo “Les Trois Jorgettes avec La Mére Mathieu”. In fondo al foglio seguono i costi delle varie rappresentazioni. Esemplare in ottime condizioni di conservazione. Raro.
