Un piccolo strappetto senza perdita di carta alla mappa più volte ripiegata. Piccole strofinature ininfluenti e qualche leggerissima fioritura in poche pagine dovuta alla qualità della carta ma nel complesso bellissima copia in bella legatura coeva. Prima edizione di questo celebre racconto di viaggio del celebre esploratore e geografo francese Henri Anatole Coudreau originario di Sonnac. L'autore fu tra i primi ad esplorare la Guyana francese e a risalire il Rio delle Amazzoni. Questo celebre racconto venne terminato dalla moglie dello stesso Codreau che lo seguì nelle sue esplorazioni, morto nei dintorni del lago Tapagem . durante il tentativo di raggiungere le sorgenti del Rio delle Amazzoni. L'opera è illustrata da 98 bellissime incisioni, 18 delle quali a piena pagina. Prima edizione in buone condizioni di conservazione ed in bella e ricca legatura coeva. First edition, a good copy.
