Ephraim George Squier June 17 1821 - April 17 1888 was a noted archaeologist history writer painter and newspaper editor. His description of travel to Mosquitia Nicaragua and Honduras includes chapters on history of area as well as information about mosquitos and has a Brief Vocabulary of the Mosquito Indians at pp. 366-369.
