Importante nome di studioso dell’egittologia, Costanzo Gazzera dimostra di essere in continuo contatto con gli ambienti scientifici francesi attraverso questo saggio che richiama il nome di Champollion, il cui nome è indissolubilmente legato alla Stele di Rosetta. Il Gazzera fu anche attivo come spirito liberale, che vedeva nel Principe di Carignano, il futuro re Carlo Alberto, il depositario delle sorti d’Italia. An important name as a scholar of Egyptology, Costanzo Gazzera proves to be in constant contact with French scientific society through this essay that recalls the name of Champollion, whose name is inextricably linked to the Rosetta Stone. Gazzera was also active as a liberal spirit, which saw in the Prince of Carignano, the future King Carlo Alberto, the custodian of the fate of Italy.
