Louis Bonafous (frère Léotade) est accusé d'avoir assassiné cette fillette de 15 ans retrouvée morte le 16 avril 1847 dans le cimetière de Saint-Aubin, jouxtant le couvent des Frères. Condamné le 4 avril 1848 aux travaux forcés à perpétuité, il meurt au bagne de Toulon deux ans et demi plus tard.
