16p. 8vo. Original full blue grey printed wraps. Very nice copy. Sir Robert Laird Borden (1854-1937). As prime minister, Borden headed a Conservative government until 1917 and a Union (coalition) government until his resignation in 1920. He is remembered for his leadership in carrying Canada through World War I and, subsequently, in defining the new status of the self-governing dominions in the British Empire. Largely through his efforts the dominions were given separate representation in the League of Nations, and the Canadian Parliament ratified the treaties that resulted from the Versailles peace conference of 1919.

Music publications from Ottoman Empire up today, 1876-1986.= Osmanli Imparatorlugu'ndan günümüze belgelerle müzik (nota) yayinciligi, 1876-1986. "Publications of music is an enlightened part of our history of music. The subject was not considered as a whole, various important writings appeared on magazines stayed scattered, and the dpcuments were not collected. This book is the first step taken on this subject. The publication houses which mostly cannot be remembered in our days our presented for interests in this book depending on the notescores and other documents. And so, the untrue argument stating that the first publications of Turkish music were realized by the minorities is falsified and the line of progress of the Turkish music publications which began with Haci Emin Efendi in 1876, is put together the first time according to the documents, in chronological order.".
