19906630Los Angeles CA 1990. Broadsheet. Near Fine. Slight edge wear else bright and clean. Illus. b/w print <br/><br/>"Michael Jackson was preparing his 'DANGEROUS' album & was looking for one production company to oversee all the short films this is what he called music videos documentaries TV and pretty much anything having to do with film plus an image revamp. Propaganda Films began talks with his managers GALLIN/MOREY. Eventually myself and Ute Leonhardt began meetings with MJ & his team. In one meeting Michael seemed overwhelmed with the complexity of all the different projects he would be working on during the next few years & blurted out in a moment of frustration: 'I wish I had a blueprint for my life'. At this stage Propaganda had not officially been selected. The job of producing all his projects was a massive undertaking and everyone in town was jockeying for the position. So I took it upon myself after consulting with my partners Joni Sighvattson and Steve Golin to employ an artist who iIhad worked with on many occasions to make a chart based on Egyptian Hieroglyphs which would categorize in a schedule everything MJ had happening in the next few years. Awest & I worked none stop for three or four days eventually taking it to a blueprinting shop in LA. the large version of the finished product was on display in my next meeting with Michael.he LOVED it Propaganda was awarded the job & I went on to work with him for almost two years." 199712442scsAustin Texas: Nortex Press 1997. First Edition Stated. Signed and inscribed by the Author. Octavo tan cloth hardcover vi 175 pp. Fine As New in a Fine As New dust jacket. From jacket: The distance between Llano and Marlin Texas and New York not only spans miles but lifetimes. Llano located in the Texas Hill Country was a cowtown.Marlin was an extension of the Old South where cotton plantations and stately mansions still reflected its ante-bellum past. At the insistence of her iron-willed mother Roalis was uprooted and replanted in New York City at the age of fourteen. She was never able to escape her mother’s dedicated pursuit of improvement. My Odyssey is a very personal and fascinating glimpse of a life lived to its fullest. Roaslis’ family and extended family were people of wealth so she enjoyed trips to Europe - especially Paris - and moved in the elite social circles of New York. Her life moved to a full circle when her husband Bob returned from Europe after World War II and she first gave up an acting career and later a writing career with Look magazine to return to Texas. Nortex Press, (1997). First Edition, Stated. hardcover books
