He treated all the leading events of the day in caricature without personal malice and with an under-current of sympathy. This collection contains former runnings of his comic vein with titles such as: The Pugsley Papers An Ancient Concert The Last Shilling Ode to M. Brunel and Over the Way amongst others. Written by Thomas Hood an English poet author and humorist best known for poems such as "The Bridge of Sighs" and "The Song of the Shirt". Bound in half crushed morocco with marbled boards.
