Wohl einziges Exemplar dieser beiden Publikationen der Soncino-Gesellschaft der Freunde des jüdischen Buches in dieser Ausfertigung. Hier sind die erste Publikation der Gesellschaft von 1925 und die "Beiheft" genannte Publikation des folgenden Jahres zusammengebunden. Für den Einband wurden die Buchdeckel des Beiheftes ein Pappband mit blauen Überzugspapieren und dem goldgeprägten Soncino-Turm auf der Vorderseite verwendet und um einen gleichgestalteten Rücken ergänzt. Weil der Rücken titellos blieb wurde er vermutlich von dritter Hand mit einem - etwas profanen - gezackten Marmeladeglaskleber versehen auf dem handschriftlich die beiden Titel vermerkt sind. Das Sefer Meschalim ist ein Reprint einer von Moses Wallisch in jiddische Reime gebrachte Sammlung von Fabeln und Parabelin aus den Büchern "Maschal-ha-Kadmoni" und "Mischle Schualim" die 1687 in Frankfurt bei Johannes Wust erschien. Der deutsche Text des Beiheftes wurde von Ruben Beatus in deutsche Reime übertragen und von Aron Freimann mit einem Vorwort versehen.
