"Ben Hecht; February 28 1893 � April 18 1964 was an American screenwriter director producer playwright journalist and novelist. A journalist in his youth he went on to write 35 books and many screenplays and plays in America. He married Camilla Thorpe 1926-1974 daughter of John Henry Thorpe and Ursula Norton-Griffiths in 1955. He died in 1969 at Surrey England. He had a son and a daughter. He lived at Buenos Aires Argentina " Susan Yorke is the pseudonym of Suzette Telenga 1915-1997 who was born in Germany and settled in Australia in 1965.
