1926285431926. Ephemera. An extremely unusual and as far as we can tell unrecorded item published in the US by Moonlight & Roses meant as a decorative wall hanging. The balsa-like wood is decorated on both sides. On one side is Outhwaite's "Playing with the Bubbles" postcard. The image is of a mermaid fairy holding a large bubble over her head~ a is the same as the postcard with the addition of glitter highlights on the wings tail shells and water. The postcard on the other side of the wood is a split back postcard headed by "Post Card; Made in U.S.A. / For Correspondence / For Address Only";. At the bottom left - "SERIES 980 B"; in the center "Moonlight & Roses" / bottom right an image of a fairy with arms folded over a decorative banner. The wood is gold flecked with holes in the top with attached decorative hanging ribbon. The ribbons are cream with a tan border with a pink green and cream bow at the top. Corners a trifle rounded but in remarkable condition overall. Although this information is not visible the Outhwaite card image is from "Bunny and Brownie" in the Elves and Fairies Series No. 73.

A remarkable survival. unknown

1992601607Portsmouth Rhode Island: Hamilton Printing Company for the Author 1992. Softcover. Fine. First edition. Tall octavo. 89 1 pp. Fine with a tiny bit of wear. Nicely Inscribed to Tony Award-winning actress Marian Seldes "For my dearest Marian with all my love Lucille." Seldes has neatly written what appears to be the author's address on the half-title and made a small collection of ink squiggles on the lower wrap which we have seen on several of her books. Laid in is a 15-line greeting card from Outhwaite to Seldes requesting a picture of Seldes for inclusion in Outhwaite's second book she would go on to write several. From the author's note for this book: "I kept a diary during the time I was a ballet dancer in Europe and South America. With this as a base I have set down events as I remember them." OCLC locates 10 copies eight in the U.S. Hamilton Printing Company for the Author unknown
