Wrapper was in three sections both flaps detached these have now been joined back together using special non acidic archive tape wrapper now in clear removable proective sleeve. Corner missing from upper front corner of wrapper affects title and one corner of cover illustration. Happy to supply photographs on request. Annie wrote children's stories while Ida illustrated them. A charming fairy story bound in a checker patterned paper covered boards backed in green cloth paper labels to upper board and spine some edge wear and rubbing to boards some occasional scattered foxing front inner hinge repaired after half-title. A very good copy of the First American edition published the same year as the first British edition. No American editions at auction and only three copies via OCLC.Baumgarten p. 168. E.P.
