1061Paris: Armand Guérinet. Hardback. Fair/No Jacket. 4636 Elephant Folio. Undated but almost certainly end of nineteenth or beginning of twentieth century. Two incomplete portfolios of plates parts of Series I and Series II of five; see below for a list of missing plates. Each volume has a list of contents. The individual plates measure 29 cm x 39 cm. Condition notes: The two portfolio folders are very worn and soiled. Volume 1 has lost one of its ties and some of those to volume 2 are present only as remnants. Edges of many of the plates are rolled and soiled although generally the images are unaffected. The following of the required total of 231 are missing: 40 50 56 57 58 59 60 61 69 70 72 73 74 75 76 78 79 80 91 93 94 95 99 101 106 110 138 140 152 163 164 168 190 194 195 201 206 208 209 223 229 230. Thus there are a total of 189 in the two collections. Please note that collation of this large and heavy set of plates was a difficult task and it is quite possible that I have overlooked one or two or mis-typed the number of a plate that I am listing as missing.
