Four accordion fold leaves 13x13cm folded printed on one side only in blue 6 panels each with UV and XY appearing together to make 24 panels in total. Housed in blue printed box. Fine condition box with some wear. <br /> <br /> Eirene Mort's 1879-1977 charming Australian Alphabet printed by the National Gallery which purchased the designs from the artist's estate in 1984. The designs were drawn in London in 1902 when Mort was 23 and were intended to be produced as a book though it was never published. <br /> <br /> OCLC cites just the Australian Alphabet book publication from 1986 with introduction by John McPhee. Perhaps this frieze was published alongside or at a later date by the gallery. In any event we find not mention of it. National Gallery of Australia unknown

Vintage invitation to a one-night preview event of an exhibition in honor of Andy Warhol sponsored by art gallery Kass/Meridian and held at The Limelight in Chicago on February 25 1988. <br /> <br /> The Limelight was founded in the 1970s in Hallandale Florida by Canadian promoter Peter Gatien. After a large fire the nightclub relocated to Atlanta in 1980 where it became a gathering place for celebrities and people of note and hosted several "Interview" magazine events. Gatien and his brother opened a second Limelight location in New York in 1983 and a third in Chicago in 1985. The Chicago location would become Excalibur nightclub four years later in 1989. <br /> <br /> In addition to works by Warhol the event also advertises works by former "Interview" editor Ronnie Cutrone who served as Warhol's assistant at the Factory and book signings by Michael McKenzie author of "New Used and Improved Art for the 80's." <br /> <br /> 11 x 7 inches folded twice. One folding sheet explains the workings of the exhibition and the reason none of the illustrations is identified. It also has some reprinted reviews of a similar exhibition held at this gallery in 1956. There was available an index to the artists but it was not issued with the folder itself nor is it present here. However there is an inserted sheet that identifies the sheets by letter A-Q and lists the artists represented on these sheets. unknown
