Nicely inked presentation inscription to Laurence Steinhardt United States Ambassador to Czechoslovakia on the half title page on the occasion of his visit to the city of Hradec Králové on April 15 1946. Several signatures below along with what is no doubt the city seal. Additionally signed by the 2 authors Kubicek and Wirth on the colophon page.<br/><br/>The book is notable for containing seven early photomechanical images by Josef Sudek most dated 1931 in the caption and a portrait engraving as a frontispiece by Max Svabinsky a well known Czech artist.
