Very Good or better with good surface gloss minimal edgewear; agency stamp on verso somewhat faded and smeared. Unusual strike image showing four circus roustabouts lounging in the hay while a group of zebra graze in the background. Snipe dated 5-15-38 reads: "These men relaxing comfortably in hay and straw under the Big GTop were among workes who took things easy May 14 as labor trouble delayed loading operations of th Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus as it prepared to leave Brooklyn N.Y. for Washington starting its season on the road.
