Two small spots of archival canvas tape at the top right and left corners recto and several small areas of light unobtrusive discoloration in the margins otherwise in good condition. Small folio. 1109 pp. Most text in Spanish with the facsimile reproducing original Mayan. A facsimile reproduction of the Ritual of the Bacabs Bacabes a manuscript that originated in the Yucatan. Perhaps written at the end of the 18th century the work contains shamanistic rituals and incantations with many references to Gods and mythology some of which is perhaps from earlier sources or without other occurrences in documents. Along with the facsimile there is a transcription a glossary of Spanish and Mayan equivalents charts of where words occur in the text etc. GOOD condition. Moderate scuffing and fading to the jacket with minor soiling. Extremities scuffed. Book scuffed and faded with light soiling and edgewear.
