I volumi hanno il proposito di rappresentare a larghi tratti lo sviluppo della poesia dialettale italiana, partendo dal momento in cui fu chiara ai vari autori la distinzione tra poesia scritta nel proprio volgare e letteratura dialettale riflessa, secondo la definizione datane da Croce. Momento che può situarsi variamente, a seconda delle situazioni storiche locali, tra la fine del Quattrocento e l'inizio del Seicento. In questo arco di tempo, la Toscana, e in particolare Firenze, esercita un ruolo particolare: il suo volgare da espressione regionale passa ad essere una lingua nazionale, rafforzandosi sempre di più nell'Ottocento.

Jahrhunderts.Marin Sorescu wuchs in einer Bauernfamilie in Oltenien auf. Die Grundschulzeit verbrachte er im Dorf. Anschließend ging er auf ein Gymnasium in Craiova. 1960 studierte er Philologie an der Universität von Ia i.Nach seinem Studium begann er sich als Literaturkritiker in verschiedenen Zeitschriften zu betätigen. Schließlich fing er an selber zu schreiben. 1964 veröffentlichte er sein erstes Werk "Singur printre poe i" alleine unter Poeten und erreichte damit seinen Durchbruch.Bis zu seinem Tod veröffentlicht er zahlreiche Dramen und Poesiealben.
