39358U.S.A. : United Artists Corporation 1970. Cinema poster printed on two sheets 133 x 103 cm / 67 x 103 cm as issued overall dimensions 200 x 103 cm evidently one of 184 posters which were printed in this large format with the printer's unique serial number 70/184 stamped bottom right and on verso; unbacked original folds in perfectly preserved condition carefully folded and stored since 1970!. Original American two-sheet poster for Tony Richardson's controversial 1970 film Ned Kelly which starred Mick Jagger in the title role - a performance which Jagger has to all intents and purposes disowned. Jagger also sang The Wild Colonial Boy for the soundtrack possibly his most embarrassing recording moment. The British-Australian production was a commercial failure and the film is one of Richardson's least critically acclaimed. However these facts in no way diminish the graphic power of this spectacular poster. unknown

Spines and edges faded head of spine in Vol. 1 beginning to separate from the text block first leaf of Vol. 1 starting light toning. Very good.

First Edition. RCA was a leading pioneer of commercial television. The company began developing TV technology in 1929 at the urging of Vladimir Zworykin one the founders of modern television who had patented a prototype television system a few years earlier. Despite the system's technical limitations Zworykin was able to convince RCA's president David Sarnoff that a commercial version could be produced in a short time for $100000-an overly optimistic claim as RCA ended up investing nearly ten years and several million dollars in the project. RCA began regular television broadcasting from its NBC studios in New York on 30 April 1939.

The first volume in the present series was issued in July 1936 almost three years before RCA's historic first TV broadcast; the sixth and apparently final volume came out in 1950. The first three volumes include eight papers written or co-authored by Zworykin. A bibliography of technical papers on television by RCA authors is appended to Vol. 6.
. "Filled with fascinating and little-known details, this book captures the tempo of the times and the personalities of the people who influenced the Studebaker company throughout its operation. You'll see the company's first tentative move toward self-propelled vehicles - an electric car produced in 1902 - and their final, full-scaled commitment to motorized transportation with fours and sixes of 1913. It was the start of an automotive line that was to continue in a steady flow for 56 years, including wartime production for three separate conflicts. There's complete data on the design and mechanics of every model manufactured with production and price info, and complete descriptions, specs, and serial numbers. From trim changes to color and upholstery options to contemporary road test results: nothing is left out! Most importantly, the story goes beyond the autos themselves to give you an indepth look at the individuals who built the company and made the decisions. This is truly the most complete and comprehensive volume ever published on Studebaker!" - dust jacket. Oblong 11" x 9". pp. [9], 10-368. Index. Table of Vehicle Specifications 1904-1966.
