Crisp clean pages; one pamphlet in the group has lost its upper binding staple and bears scuffing along the left front creasing at the right rear and some corner chipping; another shows fading along the spine; a third bears some surface rubbing along the right rear and a short crease at the upper right rear; otherwise clean and well-kept with a red paper band bearing two closed tears on the right side holding the pamphlets together and bearing the emblem and legend of the 60th anniversary of the USSR. Altogether six saddle-stapled pamphlets ranging from 15 to 64 pages each; five are part of a "60th Anniversary" set including "The Soviet Peace Programme: Its Aims and Main Directions"; "The Soviet Peace Programme in Action"; "The "Soviet Threat" Myth"; "Programme of Economic and Social Development of the USSR in the 1980s"; and "Soviet Economic and Technical Cooperation with Developing Countries" as well as a sixth pamphlet produced by the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions entitled "The Rules of The Trade Unions of the USSR" as endorsed in 1963 and partially amended by four subsequent meetings of the Congress of the Trade Unions. 92970New York n.d. Pamphlet. Good. Single sheet folded to form and unnumbered 4-page promotional item - last page blank. 27 cm. Horizontal crease. Chipped at ends of crease. The trustees are listed as Edward Cooper Wilson G. Hunt Abram S. Hewitt John E. Parsons and Daniel F. Tiemann. This makes us wonder if that this might have been published sometime after the death of Peter Cooper in 1883. Susan N. Cooper is identified as Principal of the school and Lucy A. Poe as Teacher of Photo. Color. J. Alden Weir is listed as Teacher of Afternoon Class in Oil Painting. We found nothing online which indicates that Cooper Union ever called this "Woman's Art School" rather than "Women's Art School. unknown
