Despite such errors Pococke's book is generally regarded as one of the best early accounts of travel in the Middle East. This is not the finest of copies but it is an inexpensive and serviceable copy of the 1754 German edition of the Pococke's Egyptian volume. hardcover

In the spring of 1964 just a week after returning from their first tour of the United States the Beatles started to shoot their first film A Hard Day's Night. Photographer Lord Chistopher Thynne 1934-2017 the son of the 6th Marquess of Bath was invited onto the set for two days of filming. During this time he took candid photos of the Fab Four on and off set using medium-format and 35mm film. The negatives remained undeveloped for 57 years and were recently discovered among the family papers. Each of the developed prints are now available in two sizes and are strictly limited to 35 in each size. Please allow two weeks' delivery time on this print. Original silver gelatin print on Ilford Multigrade fibre base 255 gsm paper. Sheet size: 41.5 x 35 cm. Framed size: 57.5 x 46.5 cm. Excellent condition. He also looks at the equilibrium of a weight suspended from three elastic cords by looking via analogy to a special case of the problem for fluids."In his 1748 paper Euler in "Reflexions sur quelques loix generales de la nature." starts by declaring his commitment to the least-action principle. His expression corresponds to what we would now call potential energy so that his statement of least action formulated by Maupertuis in 1746 in statics is equivalent to the principle that a system of bodies at rest will adopt a configuration that minimizes total potential energy.
