19510236251951. Book. Very Good. No Binding. This is a rough draft 14 page typescript for a sketch from Your Show of Shows. Originally titled Home Late Sketch by Mel Tolkin Lucille Kallen and Max Liebman Show of Shows #32 these have been crossed out in ink as has the scene description. Lines are added and deleted throughout for this 2 person skit meant to be performed by Sid Caesar and Imogene Coca. Script is very good some stapled pages some loose with some age darkening and light wear Lucille Kallen was " the lone woman in the raucous celebrated and astonishingly untidy group of television writers behind Sid Caesar's ''Your Show of Shows' Sid Caesar's writer's room has been fictionally recreated many times. Neil Simon one of the writers memorialized it in his play Laughter on the 23rd Floor; it formed the centerpiece of the 1982 film My Favorite Year and most famously it was the office in which Rob Petrie worked in The Dick Van Dyke Show. An original script for the classic television show from the estate of Lucille Kallen. A unique item. unknown

An unapologetic champion of contemporary art she curated well over 70 major exhibitions for the BMA the high spots being notable stagings for Frank Stella Brice Marden Barnett Newman and Bruce Nauman. She also curated the 1985 exhibition of the Cone Collection the BMA's prized centerpiece which contains over 3000 works including 600 pieces by Matisse as well as work by Picasso Cezanne Gauguin and others. She has authored and contributed to dozens of books on contemporary art and John Waters one of the most significant thinkers in the world of contemporary art considers Richardson to be his mentor.<br /> <br /> Very Good plus in wrappers. OCLC locates no separate entry for the 1979 edition and only 10 serial entries. Of the serial entries we could access all were partial runs and only NYPL notes having the 1979 edition. A clean fine paperback exhibition catalog in four identifcal volumes plus three essays by Cherix Jenny & Meyer in decorative wrappers soft cover book in fine paper slip case. In 1966 Bochner curated an exhibition of working drawings collected from artist friends and colleagues. This landmark show of conceptual collaboration included work by Donald Judd Robert Smithson Eva Hesse Sol LeWitt Robert Mangold Dan Graham John Cage and others. Also included were contributions from composers mathematicians choreographers and engineers. The work was Xeroxed and then bound into four identical volumes that were then mounted on pedestals in the center of the gallery. This is a 1997 recreation of that event.
