Quando questionados sobre o porqu� dessa atitude a resposta foi a seguinte: ""Porque voc� ordenou."" Marquet percebeu que enquanto ele havia sido treinado para estar em outro tipo de submarino sua tripula��o havia sido treinada para fazer o que lhes fosse ordenado uma combina��o desastrosa. Foi quando Marquet modificou o modelo de lideran��a que havia na cabe��a de sua tripula��o e se empenhou para alcan��ar n�veis de lideran��a cada vez maiores.
