Bindings shaken hinges cracked most of the backstrip of Vol. I is missing both volumes appear to have been rebacked long ago with the original spines laid down corners and edges well rubbed. The plates are toned but only in the margins. The dedication pages are dated 1847. The title pages are not dated and include the statement 'New Edition'. The imprint at the bottom of the title pages has been covered with a pastedown of the Batsford imprint which is heavily foxed. These are large and heavy; regular shipping charges will not apply.
