Typed title-sheet. Tied into card covers with typed title-label. Kathleen Raine produced the final version from Rafael Nadal's literal translation. The Group Theatre was given funding by the Arts Council for a production of the play and this must be a script created towards that end: there are many emendations and additions some in an unknown hand and some as pasted-in typed sheets. No evidence of this version having reached the stage can be found. The translation wasn't issued in book form until 1968 a year which is sometimes cited as being that of its writing. In Raine's introduction she writes ''. in order to produce a translation actable in the 1950's modern free-verse forms seem called for baried sic at times with more formal verse.''The title-sheet has tape-marks. Some creasing to various pages usually caused by the pastings-in. Covers nicked and chipped at the edges. Very good. unknown
