Publisher's original white paper wrappers with titles in black and red to the upper cover and spine in glassine. French language. Illustrated throughout with small woodcut decorations by Démétrios Galanis. An excellent near fine copy the binding square and firm the extremities lightly rubbed and toned. The contents are clean throughout and without previous owners' stamps or inscriptions. The glassine has small nicks at fold corners Inscribed by the author in black ink on the front free endpaper "à M. M. D. Schwab / bien cordialement / Paul Valéry". One of only 58 copies printed on Japon paper this being numbered XXVII to the limitation page. There was also an edition of 4170 copies printed on blanc D'Alfa paper.
