199413970Tokyo: Laforet Museum 1994. hardcover/illustrated boards in dust jacket. any evidence of handling is negligible impact stuff. circular blindstamp to front free endpaper. no other flaws clean bright no markings tight binding a great copy.; signed "yokoo" on the title page in marking pen. copy owned by a well known american graphic designer and author. he attended a 1998 lecture by tadanori yokoo at new york's japan society and his printed ticket and the lecture's one page agenda are laid-in. the above mentioned blindstamp is also his. there is another piece of ephemera pertaining to the book laid-in.; primary text is japanese with a fair amount of english including all captions. book may not have a publisher per se but rather published through the auspices of laforet museum and tadanori yokoo. odd pagination apprx. 170pp. illustrated throughout in color duotone b/w. documents an exhibition and event which took place at laforet museum harajuku. the "document" referred to in the title is this book.; scarce title scarce signature. Rosenthal and with art design and direction by Alexey Brodovitch. This issued featured articles on Ben Shahn stereoscopy but lacking the 3-D glasses Henri Cartier-Bresson's photographs of Asia Jackson Pollock as photographed by Hans Naumuth and a look at Alexander Calder with images by Herbert Matter. An about very good copy in wrappers with the spine missing soiling to the wrappers some tears and some wear to the corners and edges. Internally a clean copy. Jerde is widely recognized for their indoor/outdoor multi-level multi-building complexes innovative ''place-making'' and the re-visioning of shopping malls and city centers. Jerde has a portfolio that includes Universal CityWalk the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics Mall of America Horton Plaza in San Diego and the Bellagio hotel complex and Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas. About a third of Jerde's projects are in Asia including Canal City Hakata in Fukuoka Japan.
