Elliott Thomas is a young boy who plays Dungeons and Dragons and lives with his mom Wallace his sister a seven year-old Barrymore and his brother Robert McNaughton in a typical American suburb-typical until they meet E.T. an alien life-form with a sweet tooth who wants to return to his home planet. Elliott meets the alien one night and brings it into his home keeping it a secret from his family and the community. Government agents eventually discover the alien and quarantine Elliott's house bringing E.T. in for observation. Elliott and the alien have a strong psychic connection evidenced by their shared symptoms when E.T. becomes ill. With Elliott's perseverance and E.T.'s alien superpowers the extraterrestrial returns home but not before coining a few phrases "phone home" and taking an iconic flight with Elliott on his bike before a full moon. <br/><br/>"E.T." had an unparalleled impact on the culture and even buying habits of the Western world: the phrase "phone home" would become part of the American lexicon if briefly and sales for Reese's Pieces E.T.'s food of choice skyrocketed in the film's aftermath. Featuring an image of Jeff Bridges and Cindy Morgan in their Grid bodysuits as well as various images of computer graphics that represent the Grid. <br/><br/>Jeff Bridges plays a game designer who ends up in the very game he's been programming and who must defeat the computer-generated image of his money-grubbing employer. The pinnacle of computer graphics technology at the time a hybrid of back-lit live action and computer-generated visuals "TRON" was one of the first of many films to reflect the burgeoning video game craze of the 1980s. The creation of these hybrid graphics took the work of at least four distinct graphics firms with over 550 people involved in post-production work. <br/><br/>While critically acclaimed for its flashy visual spectacle "TRON" fared more poorly at the box office than the studio expected though in time the film would escape its cult status and become the highly-lauded landmark in science fiction film history that it had always been. Stapled to the recto of the rear wrapper is a brown paper mailing envelope ostensibly the one used to ship the script to its recipient.<br/><br/>Loosely based on the Greek myth of Iphigenia daughter of King Agamemnon and Queen Clytemnestra who was sacrificed as recompense for her father's misdeeds. In screenwriter Steven James Silva's updated version Iphegenia becomes "Iffie" a gifted writer who rises to fame to the bitterness and jealousy of her friends and family. <br/><br/>Set in New York and Connecticut. <br/><br/>Clear front wrapper with a red rear wrapper. Copied annotations throughout noting or revising scene numbers. <br/><br/>Created by the makers of the MTV sketch comedy series "The Idiot Box" 1990-1991.<br/><br/>Originally intended as a low budget horror film featuring the experimental rock band Butthole Surfers which director and screenwriter Alex Winter co-star of the "Bill and Ted" film series worked with previously in the 1988 short film "Bar-B-Que Movie." The concept transformed into as Winter described it "'Beach Blanket Bingo' meets 'The Evil Dead." Joe Roth head of 20th Century Fox loved the idea and green-lit the project. Unfortunately Roth was fired during filming and the new studio head Peter Chernin hated it severely slashing the budget. After poor test screenings it was pulled from nationwide release and only opened to two theaters in the US. Revived on VHS then DVD and Blu-Ray it has since been recognized as the cult favorite it was made to be.<br/><br/>Spoiled actor Ricky Coogin Winter best friend Earnie Michael Stoyanov and pretty girl activist Julie Megan Ward find themselves trapped at Freek Land a freak show run by mad scientist Elijah C. 1933140939Hollywood: Paramount Pictures 1933. Collection of five vintage photographs from the 1933 film.<br/><br/>Based on William Faulkner's 1931 controversial literary potboiler "Sanctuary." The story concerns a wealthy and neurotic Southern belle who falls in with a violent bootlegger who rapes her and forces her into prostitution. Every bit as controversial as the source material the film's depiction of the assault was graphic and shocking even among films of the era and along with the same year's equally sensational "Baby Face" was directly responsible for the stricter enforcement of the Production Code beginning the next year bringing the pre-Code era to a close. <br/><br/>George Raft then under contract to Paramount was assigned the role of the bootlegger but found the part repulsive and went to battle with the studio in a suit that nearly cost him his career. <br/><br/>Unavailable for decades outside of 16mm bootlegs the film was restored by the Museum of Modern Art in 2011 and screened at the TCM Classic Film Festival but still awaits a commercial release. <br/><br/>Photographs between 9.75 x 7.5 and 8 x 10 inches.
