A sequel to both the 1941 classic "The Wolf Man" directed by George Waggner and the 1942 Frankenstein sequel the fourth in the series "The Ghost of Frankenstein" directed by Erle C. Kenton. <br/><br/>Lugosi's only portrayal of the Frankenstein monster originally shot featuring an articulate monster who was blind and deaf explaining the outstretched arms and lumbering gait unfortunately both plot elements were cut and left unexplained leaving Lugosi's performance to become the subject of ridicule.<br/><br/>The resurrected wolf man Larry Talbot enlists the aid of mad scientist to end his curse who has plans of his own to revive Frankenstein's frozen monster.<br/><br/>8 x 10.25 inches. The lesbian relationship between the vampire and her young victim concerned the censor who warned that they might have to cut significant portions before it was suitable for release. A studio one-sheet prepared for the U.S. English language distribution of Rotha's documentary originally produced in West Germany under the auspices of Real-Film GmbH and written in collaboration with Robert Neumann and Helga Koppel. The film was also distributed under the alternate title THE LIFE OF ADOLF HITLER. This was the last of Rotha's full-length documentaries and was initially undertaken as a cautionary means to inform younger Germans about the origins of Nazism. It set a precedent for the treatment of the subject and its release under this title and translations thereof set against a background of a skull and a city and a swastika in flames as well as under the less emotive "THE LIFE OF ." and its variants suggests parallel marketing campaigns aimed at two different audiences. Included are several unbound revision sheets dated 10/11/75 on pink stock. Based on the 1972 crime novel "The Procane Chronicle" by Ross Thomas writing as Oliver Bleeck. <br/><br/>The first of no fewer than ten films director J. Lee Thompson would make with badass Charles Bronson and ironically one of the last with a major studio behind it. The pair would go on to make taut violent potboilers such as "10 to Midnight" 1983 "The Evil That Men Do" 1984 and "Murphy's Law" 1986. <br/><br/>Raymond St. Ives Bronson is a novelist drawn back into the world of his former profession of crime reporting by wealthy Abner Procane Houseman. St. Ives is hired to locate stolen documents with ties to the local mob. Janet Whistler Bisset is an associate of Procane's accompanying St. Ives but her motives are vague. <br/><br/>Features early supporting roles by Jeff Goldblum and Robert "Freddy" Krueger Englund. <br/><br/>Set in Los Angeles shot on location in Los Angeles and Pasadena California. <br/><br/>Blue titled wrappers with gilt titles. 1960WRCLIT76533Los Angeles: MGM 1960. Twenty-one high quality 8x10" black & white stills. A few annotations on versos otherwise very near fine. An excellent lot of stills of scenes and character shots associated with the 1943 Vincennte Minnelli film based on a screenplay by Joseph Schrank sourced from Lynn Root's 1940 musical play. The film starred Lena Horne Ethel Waters Eddie 'Rochester' Anderson Rex Ingram and Louis Armstrong all but the latter featured prominently in one or more of these stills. These are quite high quality prints probably associated with distribution of the film by the studio for television in the 1960s and not second generation copy prints. MGM unknown books
