Collection consists of 10 separate papers including business letters and accounting sheets. Papers are all folded and exhibit foxing and toning. Many have tears and chipping along the folds. Collection includes 5 business letters and 5 sheets of accounts. The account sheets have dates ranging from 1815 to 1840 and contain lists of names and figures with arithmetic done on the margins. The letters also contain a range of dates with one from 1818 two from 1819 one from 1823 and another from 1833. The letters appear to be from business partners and largely discuss the transportation of onions and prices in various cities in the eastern United States. 1970144248Burbank CA: Warner Brothers 1970. Vintage photograph from the 1970 film showing actors Stella Stevens and Jason Robards taking direction from Sam Peckinpah on the set. With holograph annotations regarding layout on the verso.

A charming surreal revisionist Western comedy an unusual move for Peckinpah as it was released on the heels of "The Wild Bunch" 1969 and just prior to "Straw Dogs" 1971 both famed for being the high spots of the director's famed odes to violence and male madness. Certainly though Jason Robards-in what many consider to be his finest performance-is as lost as any of Peckinpah's characters but viewed from a different more relaxed perspective.

Set in Arizona shot on location in Nevada Arizona and New Mexico.

10 x 8 inches. WALTER-FILM000879No binding. Very Good. Photo Vintage original 7 1/2 x 9 1/2 18 x 23 cm. black-and-white single weight glossy silver gelatin print still photo USA. Bette Davis Warren William Alison Skipworth Arthur Treacher dir: William Dieterle; Warner Brothers. After being nominated in 1934 and winning an Academy Award in 1935 Warner Brothers continued to cast Bette Davis in mediocre roles and films. So fed up was she that she sailed for England in 1936 after a suspension for refusing a role. Her intent was to work there; Warner stopped her and she sued. Though she lost the suit the studio did slowly secure better roles in finer productions over the course of 1937 and 1938. Given top production value and costuming Orry-Kelly this film is loosely based on Dashiell Hammett's THE MALTESE FALCON but this time the detective story is handled more as a comedy. What the film did for Davis at a time when she was being cast in heavy melodrama was give her a chance at playing comedy which she proved very adept. In a lighthearted moment Davis is seen with co-star Warren William. The photo is coded ""MH-111"". The borders are lightly trimmed for publication ABOUT FINE. unknown books
