The second dated March 16 1992 by the envelope's postmark and on Center of Theological Inquiry letterhead encloses a copy of another letter to University of Illinois Press editor Richard Martin about a possible translation of Veto's Edwards book and asking Kimnach to send along a note to Martin on Veto's behalf. An English translation would finally appear in 2021 from Wipf and Stock Publishers the year after Veto's death with Kimnach providing the foreword. L'Harmattan unknown

The Templo Mayor of Tenochtitlan was dedicated to Huitzilopochtli god of war and Tlaloc god of rain and agriculture. The Spaniards "purified" the temple with a crucifix and an image of the Virgin Mary leading to arguments over the competing faiths tensions rose and Cortes promised rain would fall as a demonstration of his god's power. According to the legend rain unexpectedly fell the next day was interpreted as a miracle and strengthened the conqueror's position among the indigenous people. Vogt 1817-1895. - "1847-1849 war der Befürworter empirischer Forschung Professor für Zoologie an der Universität Giessen. Vogt beteiligte sich an der Revolution von 1848 wurde in die Frankfurter Nationalversammlung gewählt und hielt 1848 seine berühmte Rede über die Trennung von Kirche und Staat. Mit dem Rumpfparlament zog er sich nach Stuttgart zurück und wirkte als einer der fünf Reichsregenten. Nach der Niederschlagung der Revolution musste Vogt im Sommer 1849 nach Bern flüchten wo seine Eltern lebten. 1852 liess er sich in Genf nieder und wurde Professor für Geologie an der dortigen Akademie. Vogt lancierte einen publizistischen Angriff gegen Karl Marx den er beschuldigte ein Agent von Österreich zu sein. Zudem stellte er die Kommunisten als Fälscher dar welche die Menschen mit Schalmeienklängen verführten. Marx antwortete mit dem Pamphlet «Herr Vogt» 1860. Darin beschuldigte er nun seinerseits Vogt ein bezahlter Agent im Dienst des Kaisers Napoleon III. zu sein" S.
