Anna Alma-Tadema (1867-1943) artista inglese, figlia del pittore Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema. Ha creato disegni e dipinti di ritratti, scene di interni, i fiori e gli edifici. Lei è stato influenzato da suo padre, e ha mostrato le sue opere in mostre con il padre e matrigna, Laura Teresa Alma-Tadema. Il suo lavoro è stato mostrato in mostre nazionali, come la Royal Academy of Arts, e il 1893 Columbian Exposition del Mondo a Chicago, dove ha vinto un premio. Inoltre ha vinto una medaglia alla mostra 1889 di Parigi.
204607Zarephath New Jersey: Pillar of Fire. Hardcover. Good. A set of 6 hardcover books; volumes I-IV and VI are red cloth and volume V is brown cloth. The books are in good condition overall with some wear to the gilt lettering and covers and weak inner hinges in volumes IV-VI. All books remain whole and the pages are clean and readable. The cloth at the top of the spine of Vol. VI is torn. Vol. V has a light stain along the lower blank part of the pages; the text is unaffected. The autobiography of Bishop Alma White foundress and bishop of the Pillar of Fire Church an offshoot of Methodism. Under her leadership the church developed a strong affiliation with the Ku Klux Klan. Although White was a feminist and sought equality for white women she was anti-Catholic anti-Semitic and a proponent of white supremacy; she promoted the Klan in her writings and even participated in Klan activities such as cross burnings.
