PENDRAGON 2000 206 PP. FONDO DI MAGAZZINO. PARI AL NUOVO, PERFETTO E INTONSO. Pittore, filosofo, regista e romanziere, Pierre Klossowski (1905) è scomparso a Parigi nell'estate del 2001. Grande intellettuale del Novecento, su di lui in Italia è stato scritto molto poco, forse perché la sua estrema poliedricità ne ha fatto il più “inclassificabile” dei pensatori contemporanei. In questo volume l’autore mette in evidenza che i suoi ispiratori sono senz’altro Sade e Nietzsche, veri e proprio alter ego klossowskiani, nel loro tentativo di giungere ai limiti estremi del pensiero. Limite a cui Klossowski tende costantemente, proseguendo nella strada da loro tracciata, con la sua riflessione sulle forme (linguaggio, corpo, immagine...) e sulla necessità di scavarle e superarle. Prigione e varco al tempo stesso, le forme ci consentono una doppia possibilità: quella di rimanerne alla superficie, sulla loro soglia, o di andare oltre, immergendoci in esse – come fa Narciso quando vede la sua immagine riflessa sull'acqua – per vederne l’ambiguità, noi stessi. Klossowski quindi si occupa innanzitutto di conoscenza e, attraverso la conoscenza, di metafisica: è quanto afferma Brivio definendolo “uno degli ultimi metafisici occidentali”. Guido Brivio (1971) è studioso di storia delle religioni e filosofia. Oltre a diversi articoli, traduzioni e interventi, ha curato e tradotto l'ultima opera di Pierre Klossowski, L'adolescente immortale (Bollati Boringhieri, 1997). La caduta di Narciso è il suo primo volume, elaborazione dall'omonima tesi di laurea discussa nel 1997 con il prof. Gianni Vattimo. Figlia di una cantante e di un pittore, Alma Schindler a soli diciassette anni diventa la Giuditta di Klimt, a venti si nutre di Nietzsche, Wagner, Platone, studia il greco, traduce i Padri della Chiesa, ma soprattutto compone: la musica è il suo elemento naturale. È una ragazza eccezionale, anche per via dell'idea elevatissima che ha di sé, fatto insolito nelle donne del suo tempo. Non la posizione, non il denaro: ciò che più l'affascina in un uomo è il talento, e la capitale ribolle di uomini di genio, che sono attratti da Alma come da una calamita.
