Anna Alma-Tadema (1867-1943) artista inglese, figlia del pittore Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema. Ha creato disegni e dipinti di ritratti, scene di interni, i fiori e gli edifici. Lei è stato influenzato da suo padre, e ha mostrato le sue opere in mostre con il padre e matrigna, Laura Teresa Alma-Tadema. Il suo lavoro è stato mostrato in mostre nazionali, come la Royal Academy of Arts, e il 1893 Columbian Exposition del Mondo a Chicago, dove ha vinto un premio. Inoltre ha vinto una medaglia alla mostra 1889 di Parigi.

"The Baeautiful Prince" racconta la storia del genio di Minneapolis attraverso l'analisi delle sue interviste, da quelle rilasciate alla fine degli anni Settanta a quelle del primo decennio del Duemila. Prince ha sempre avuto un rapporto complicato con la stampa. Essendo una persona molto timida, si sentiva inerme davanti allo sguardo degli altri, in preda al timore di risultare inadeguato, di non essere all'altezza della sua fama. Sembra impossibile da credere, ma Prince, l'uomo che sul palco si scatenava, era seduttivo, ammaliava tutti, uomini e donne, quando si trovava davanti a un giornalista o nel corso di una conferenza stampa, temeva di dire la cosa sbagliata, di rendersi ridicolo (era convinto di avere un tono di voce sgradevole, ad esempio). Tuttavia gli occhi di quei giornalisti - gli occhi che nel corso degli anni lo osservano, lo scrutano, lo giudicano - risultano importantissimi per noi. A volte quegli sguardi sono più importanti delle dichiarazioni e delle parole stesse che Prince pronuncia davanti a loro. Quegli occhi attenti (e spesso malevoli) riescono a cogliere un tic, una smorfia, un gesto di disappunto, che sfuggono al maniacale controllo che Prince esercitava costantemente su se stesso e ci permettono anche di capire qualcosa. Illuminano una circostanza, consentono di inquadrare un momento della sua vita. Nel corso della sua carriera, Prince si è barricato dietro un muro pressoché impenetrabile, per proteggere se stesso e la sua creatività. Molte delle fonti presenti in questo libro concordano sul fatto che quel muro impenetrabile aveva lo scopo di consentirgli di lavorare e di creare spazio all'interno di una bolla che lo faceva sentire sicuro.
