Homemade folder cover with title "An Anthology" handwritten beneath an original drawing of a bird. Inside 21 leaves. All leaves but two one being the table of contents have a handwritten poem and an original drawn illustrations. The poems are all by published poets a few still famous or known -- Shelley Edwin A. Robinson Francis Scott Key Whittier Bret Harte -- others possibly popular when this homemade book was made but obscure to us -- Arthur D. Ficke John McCrae James Oppenheim David Morton etc. Of many of the poets there is a mounted sheet with a handwritten short biography on the facing page. We assume all the transcribing and artwork was done by Ruth Horner based on an inscription near the front.
