The first of Carl Reiner's early directorial efforts intended to push the envelope of comedy including graphic descriptions of sexual assault and war violence against the Vietnamese. The original ending which was omitted before theatrical release for being too risqué shows a defeated Gordon climbing into bed with his mother finally assuming the role of his long-dead father in an incestuous climax.<br/><br/>Set and shot on location in New York. <br/><br/>Blue titled wrappers.
