The first edition of this very scarce work rebound in boards with a paper spine label. Ink inscriptions to the first blank page. William Moses 1742-1824 received only seven months worth of education before being impelled to work but he endeavoured to educate himself so that he could write poetry in the native language that he loved. He published his first volume of poems in 1808. This work a second collection was published just before his death in 1824 and is now a very scarce work. The title page and last two pages are facsimiles of the originals but the rest of the work is the original 1824 printing. Rebound in boards with a paper spine label. Externally in excellent condition. Internally firmly bound. The facsimile pages appear a little faint but are otherwise bright and clean. The rest of the pages are age toned and spotted throughout.
