Irwin a native of North Carolina moved as a child with his family to the Georgia back county and served with his father and brother during the American Revolution; as governor he signed the act rescinding the fraudulent Yazoo land law. "His leadership patriotism and impartiality were recognized and honored throughout his career" DGB. Marbury is best remembered for his role in the publication of Georgia's first official digest of laws Digest of the Laws of the State of Georgia 1802. Some browning but very good. Folded.
