The first, "Sefer Ha-Zichronot" (the Book of Memoirs), is a biography of Isaac Baer Levinsohn, founder of the Haskalah movement in the Russian empire. The other title is "Eshkol Ha-Sopher", a collection of Levinsohn's poems and epigrams. 200x150mm. X+158+98 pages. Marbled board Hardcover with leather spine. Binding is solid and square, covers have sharp corners with a bit of wear, exterior shows no other blemishes, text/interior is clean and free of marking of any kind. Dust jacket shows light signs of shelf wear, some chipping at the edges with a few very small tears, a scratch mark on the back.
