Il a collaboré à de nombreuses revues de mode et de société (La Vie parisienne, Le Sourire, Femina, Vogue, La Gazette du Bon Ton), réalisé des affiches publicitaires pour des marques de luxe, ainsi que des illustrations de couverture pour des livres et programmes de théâtre. Cet immense char flottant est figuré comme un décor de théâtre vénitien stylisé, typique du goût de Bénigni pour les mises en scène raffinées.Ex-libris Kilian Fritsch.

13934Original 19th Century photograph showing St. Mark's square Piazza San Marco in Venice. The photograph is very large measuring 10-1/2"x14" and mounted on heavy cardboard to an overall size of 14"x20". Shows a view of Saint Mark's Square the principal public square in Venice and a location used in countless artworks films and literature through the centuries. A remark attributed to Napoleon calls the Piazza San Marco the "drawing room of Europe." The square has been remarkably unchanged by time and appears very similar in paintings of 300 years ago to this photograph of over 100 years ago and as it is today. Catalogue numbered in the lower left hand corner within the photo "48. Venezia/ Piazzo S. Marco." Another image of the same size and condition is on the verso labeled within the photo "25. Venezia/Loggetta." Moderate staining and warping to cardboard but photograph itself is in fine condition. unknown books
12mo., Second Edition, with engraved portrait frontispiece (original tissue guard present), neat contemporary signature on front paste-down, some light marginal spotting; contemporary mottled red and brown calf, sides with floral frame border in gilt, back tooled and ruled in gilt, second compartment with red leather label lettered and ruled in gilt, gilt edgesexpertly rebacked with old backstrip laid down, a very good, bright, clean copy. With fine early nineteenth century engraved armorial bookplate bearing the widespread motto 'pro aris et focis'. This scarce work contains the twenty-four prayers and orisons of the Armenian patriarch Nerses IV (1102-1173). Effectively a type specimen book, it was printed at the Armenian monastery on the isle of St. Lazarus off Venice and presents the prayers in no fewer than 24 different languages, including Dutch, Gaelic, Hungarian, Spanish and Russian. The collection was first issued in 1818 with the prayers present in fourteen languages; a fourth edition (1837) was several times reprinted. Brunet IV, 859; Nersessian 510.
