Contains over two-hundred and fifty in-text illustrations both in monochrome and colour.When travelling with her husband Venice became fascinated by the various textile traditions across the globe carrying out a systematic survey of traditional weaving techniques in West Africa while Alastair taught History in the University of Ghana. This particular study examines cloth and intricate designs to reveal patterns in Cameroonian art. In the publisher's original green cloth in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart with the odd small faint mark to top extremities of front and rear boards. Dust wrapper is bright and clean with the odd faint mark and minimal edgewear. Slight crease to plastic adhering of wrapper spine which cannot be removed. Green end papers are clean with minor signs of cockling to rear end paper hinge. Internally firmly bound.
