Full red cloth with gilt spine top edge atained red binding by H. Wolff in New York; binding square and tight spine ends softened gilt on spine barely legible. GG818-169. Very Good. This volume is a photo album assembled by Ray Holland of photos taken by his two sons before World War II in Alaska and Silver Creek Idaho. Photos feature waterfowl upland game and dogs with accompanying anecdotes of sporting activities. The nostalgic feel of the text is accented by the crisp exciting photos. Ray Prunty Holland was a native of Kansas who became a noted sportsman and writer. He was a key figure in the Supreme Court case Missouri v Holland 1920 a landmark case in constitutional and conservation law.
