The three contributors shared the price of fl. 500 but only Roldanus' work was found suitable for publication. In his work he goes into great detail as to the necessary provisions required both in time of peace and at war. In the supplementary tables he even provides a census of neighbouring municipalities, villages and hamlets that form the Defence Line of Amsterdam and specifies how many kilograms of meat, potatoes, peas, beans, rice, sugar, coffee, salt, paper, etc. etc. would be necessary to support these populations.
