High-quality facsimile reissue of two of the best eighteenth-century illustrated works on the mechanics of windmills (first work 1734; 1736; second work 1727 ). VERY SCARCE.

Bon état (marge inférieur lég. frottée, très bon état par ailleurs) pour cette belle grande carte couvrant toute la région de Groningue avec les îles de la Mer du Nord, et exclusivement réservée à l'usage des troupes militaires allemandes lors de la Seconde Guerre Mondiale. Very clean pages in a very tight binding with well rubbed, slightly marked boards, label removal mark to front and minor bumping to oversize corners. 147pp. With 15 pages text and reference plus 65 single-sided plates with captions opposite. Twenty-two are of Van Dyck's engravings and the rest are of other artists from this period including Rembrandt, Pontius, Muller, Suyderhoff, Nanteuil and more. Very scarce.
