The event summoned all artists working in pieces or installations where textile fibers and weaving were used as means of expression. The result was an international jury selection of 102 pieces by artists Alexander Brett Ursula Gerber-Senger Maria Theresa Fernandes Hau Ray Kok-man Jurayeva Gulshat Beatriz Schaaf-Giesser amongst others that were exhibited at the Palais de Glace of Buenos Aires in the 5th International Biennial Exhibition of Contemporary Textile Art. The event included the works by 19 international artists and the award of "Olga de Amaral" prize granted to Dra Ruth Corcuera Argentina for her academic contributions to Andean textiles.
